Through our recent research, we are looking to uncover the most valuable celebrity cricket player by analysing various parameters including physical attributes, financial status, and social media engagement. This is achieved by employing machine learning techniques and image analysis to evaluate value standards based on our golden ratio.
Top 5 Most Valuable CCL Players: Joshi Crowned the Celebrity Cricket League’s Most Valuable Player
Our analysis reveals that Sachin Joshi stands out as the premier talent in this year’s Celebrity Cricket League, securing the top spot with a remarkable value score of 8.32. Joshi, celebrated for his multifaceted career as an Indian actor, producer, and entrepreneur, outshines his peers to clinch this position. Representing the Telugu Warriors, he showcases his prowess as an all-rounder, elevating his team’s prospects.
Close on his heels, Vivek Gopan, another versatile all-rounder and wicketkeeper, ranks second with a value score of 7.77. Gopan, who takes the field for the C3 Kerala Strikers, aims to leverage his skills to steer his team towards the pinnacle of CCL success.
In third place, Tarun Kumar, popularly known as Tarun, holds a close value rating of 7.75. As a key player for the Telugu Warriors, Tarun will be hoping to steer his team to victory. Sudeep Kichcha, occupying the fourth position, brings a diverse set of talents as an Indian actor, director, producer, screenwriter, television presenter, and singer with a value score of 7.14.
Rounding out the top five is batsman Binnu Dhillon, the highest-valued star among the top ten, with a value rating of 7.06. Representing the Punjab De Sher, Dhillon has made a name for himself as a leading comedic actor in the Punjabi film industry, known for his exceptional comedic timing and distinctive style.
Top 6-10 Most Valuable CCL Players
Jayaram Karthik, is an Indian actor primarily known for his work in the Kannada film industry. He sits sixth in our value ratings. He gained popularity through his role in the Colors Kannada television soap opera "Ashwini Nakshatra”. The all-rounder plays for Karnataka Bulldozers and has a value rating of 7.03.
Completing the top ten of the highest-valued cricket league players is Sonu Sodd of Punjab de Sher with a 6.83 rating. Prashanth Alexander and Arjun Nandakumar, both of whom play for c3 Kerala Strikers are eighth and ninth respectively in the rankings with a value rating of 6.69 and 6.67. Both are all-rounders with a high chance of impacting this year's league. Whilst Gavie Chahal for Punjab De Sher completes the top ten. Chahal is a batsman with a rating of 6.64.
Other Findings
Some of our other findings in the research reveal that Gavie Chahal is the tallest competing player in the league, standing at 188 cm alongside Sonu Sodd and Rajeev Pillai. Yuvraj Hans has the highest net worth range at 9.9M which is closely followed by ARYA with a net worth value of 9.6. The top five players with the highest net worth according to the research are Bobby Deol (8M), Sushanth (8M), and Akhil Akkineni (8M).

Whilst our data has looked at a range of aspects to decipher the value of the Celebrity Cricket League players, its importance goes far and beyond the data we’ve broken down. Since its inception, the CCL has been involved in various forms of charity work, leveraging the popularity of film stars and the widespread appeal of cricket in India to raise awareness and funds for numerous causes. The work demonstrates how celebrity influence can be harnessed to support charitable and worthy causes.
Methodology: "Most Valuable Celebrity Cricket Player"
Objective:
The project aims to predict the most attractive celebrity cricket player by analysing various parameters including physical attributes, financial status, and social media engagement. This is achieved by employing machine learning techniques and image analysis to evaluate beauty standards based on the golden ratio.
Data Collection:
The initial step involves scraping the official Celebrity Cricket League website to gather data on cricket players who have their images posted on the site. For each player, the following data is collected:
Height: Measurement in centimetres.
Images: Five facial images for analysis.
Net Worth Estimate: An estimation of the player's financial status.
Instagram Comments: Analysis of comments from five recent posts, focusing on positive engagement.
Data Transformation:
To prepare the data for analysis, the following steps are taken:
Filling Missing Values: Missing data points are filled with the median value of the respective dataset to maintain consistency and avoid bias.
Data Type Conversion: All collected data is converted into formats suitable for analysis.
Normalisation: The data is normalised using statistical methods to ensure that all variables are on a similar scale, facilitating meaningful comparison and analysis.
Beauty Machine Learning Model:
The core of the project utilises a beauty machine learning model to analyse the facial images of the players. This involves:
Image Processing: Using OpenCV and MTCNN for face detection and analysis.
Golden Ratio Calculation: Each face is evaluated based on its adherence to the golden ratio (1.6), which is considered a standard for beauty. The analysis includes measuring the face's length and width, and dividing the face into three segments to assess symmetry and proportionality.
Average Value Extraction: For each player, the average golden ratio value is calculated from the analysis of five images.
Instagram Comments Analysis:
An analysis of Instagram comments is conducted by identifying and calculating the percentage of comments that can be categorised as 'hot' or positive, based on the usage of specific emojis recognized for this context.
Data Analysis and Ranking:
All collected and processed data are combined to evaluate and rank each player. The ranking is based on a predetermined weighting system that considers height, net worth estimate, golden ratio, and the percentage of positive Instagram comments. The weightings are as follows:
Height (cm): 15%
Net Worth Estimate: 35%
Golden Ratio: 40%
